These are the terms or abbreviations you may come across on Bucks Film Room.

ATO:  After timeout

DHO-Dribble Handoff

Drag Screen-A screen set in transition by a player who’s trailing the action.

Drop Coverage-A pick-and-roll- defense where the man guarding the screener sinks off his man, allowing the ball-handler a clean look coming off the screen.

Flare: An off-ball movement where a player typically backs away from the ball/screen in order to get open along the perimeter.

Put in jail-A strategy by a ball-handler following a ball screen where he puts his defender on his hip or backside in order to prevent him from getting back into the play.

SLOB: Sidelines out of Bounds

Snake dribble- A strategy by a ball-handler following a ball screen where he slithers his way back into the middle of the lane.

Stagger screen-An off-ball screen where two offensive players set consecutive picks for a player.
